In part 1 of the book we been introduced to 3 main characters. Which is Montag, Mildred, and Clarisse. Montag is a guy who is a firefighter, in the story Montag isn't very happy, he pretends to be happy but really isn't, he loves to burn books just beacuse he thinks books are pointless. Montag only uses technology.
Mildred is Montag wife. They both don't talk to each other after the overdose situation.
Clarisse is a happy girl, who gets along with her family well.
